The Lineup at a Glance
Winsen offers three distinct series, each optimised for a different set of priorities: raw capacity, material quality and portability, and ergonomic handling and vehicle versatility.
5 Gallon / 10 Gallon Quick Tyre Inflator — Built for Volume
When capacity is non-negotiable, this is your inflator. Available in 5-gallon (≈18.9L) and 10-gallon (≈37.9L) configurations, this steel-tank inflator stores significantly more compressed air than the rest of the range — meaning faster top-ups, fewer interruptions, and the ability to handle larger tyres without breaking a sweat.
What sets it apart is its valve flexibility: you can choose between a ball valve and a pneumatic valve depending on your workflow. Both options are paired with a manual press button release valve and an oil-filled gauge for precise pressure readings. A built-in carry handle keeps it manageable despite the size.
| Model | Capacity | Working Pressure | Max Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14211 | 5 gallon | 0.6–0.8 MPa | 1.0 MPa |
| 14212 | 10 gallon | 0.6–0.8 MPa | 1.0 MPa |
5.5L / 6.5L / 9.5L Quick Tyre Inflator — Compact with a Material Edge
This series is the most portable of the three, and it comes with a standout option that the others don't: a stainless steel tank (available on the 5.5L and 9.5L models). For users working in coastal environments, humid climates, or anywhere corrosion is a concern, that's a meaningful upgrade in long-term durability.
The 6.5L variant uses a conventional steel tank — a practical middle ground if stainless isn't required. All three models share an air operated valve, manual press button release valve, oil-filled gauge, and a built-in carry handle. At their compact sizes, these inflators are easy to stow in a van, truck bed, or storage cabinet.
| Model | Capacity | Tank Material | Working Pressure | Max Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14216-5.5L | 5.5L | Stainless Steel | 0.6–0.8 MPa | 1.0 MPa |
| 14216-9.5L | 9.5L | Stainless Steel | 0.6–0.8 MPa | 1.0 MPa |
| 14217-6.5L | 6.5L | Steel | 0.6–0.8 MPa | 1.0 MPa |
6L / 9L / 12L Quick Tyre Inflator — The Handling Upgrade
This series takes a different approach to the inflator experience. Available in 6L, 9L, and 12L capacities, it introduces two meaningful improvements over the other ranges:
First, the ergonomic gun design — a well-balanced centre of gravity that reduces hand fatigue during extended use. If you're inflating multiple tyres in a session, the difference is noticeable. Second, a high-quality pre-set safety release valve that automatically vents excess pressure, giving you one less thing to monitor compared to the manual button release on the other two series.
The aluminium/steel tank construction keeps weight down relative to capacity, and the working pressure range of 87–116 psi (approximately 0.6–0.8 MPa) makes it compatible with the widest stated vehicle range of the three: motorcycles, passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles.
| Model | Capacity | Tank Material | Working Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14218-6L | 6L | Aluminium/Steel | 120 psi max |
| 14218-9L | 9L | Aluminium/Steel | 120 psi max |
| 14218-12L | 12L | Aluminium/Steel | 120 psi max |
How They Compare
All three series share the same core fundamentals: quick inflation, oil-filled pressure gauges, carry handles, and compatibility with a wide range of tyre sizes. Where they diverge is in capacity, materials, and user experience:
- 5G/10G wins on raw air volume — there's no competition there.
- 5.5L–9.5L wins on material choice — the stainless steel option is unique to this range.
- 6L–12L wins on handling and smart safety — the gun grip and auto-release valve make it the most refined to use.
Which One Is Right for You?
There's no "best" inflator in the abstract — only the best one for your specific needs. Whether you need sheer capacity, corrosion resistance, or the best possible daily-driver ergonomics, Winsen has a model built for it.
